One Drop Redemption: One Drop Redemption is the Premiere Bob Marley & The Wailers Tribute Show lead by Jamaican born singer/songwriter Ras Jahmark Tafari, whose stage presence gives you the feeling that it's 1978 and you're in the audience listening to the reggae legend Bob Marley & the Wailers performing your favorite reggae songs! Voted #1 Bob Marley & the Wailers Tribute band by Gigmasters. com (www.gigmasters.com/reggae/onedropredemption); one of the nation's largest internet booking services. Ital Vibes: Beginning in February of 2011, Ital Vibes (formerly known as High Tides) formed through a series of experimental jam sessions. Initially, the band consisted of 3 members, Aaron Valdez, Marc Donini, and Kennedy Peneueta. Once the potential to create serious music came to fruition, the band began expanding. Soon after, other high school friends came into the picture. The addition of a lead guitar, bass, a horn section, and percussion added a new dynamic to the band. Unfortunately, about a year and a half later, differences were put to play and the number of members decreased for a short while until the addition of a new Guitarist (Andy Deemer) and Bassist (Steffano Lasso) was established. Throughout the year, Ital Vibes have played shows with many up and coming artists such as, Fortunate Youth, The Simpkin Project, Stranger, Arise Roots, Rian Basilio & the Roosters, Beyond I Sight, Inna Vision (Maui, HI), The Steppas (Hilo, HI), West Swell and also popular artists like Bushman, Johny Osbourne and The Original Wailers. Together this group of young artists have blended their eclectic influences from the crucial study of traditional Roots Music into contemporary styles of Reggae to harness a sound all their own.
Papafish : Bringing an undeniable stage presence and a ridiculous amount of fun and energy, PapaFish looks to combine a fresh and engaging live show to a brand of music that they can confidently call their own. With influences in reggae, ska, and rock and being one of the only female lead bands in the California Reggae-Rock scene PapaFish is unique in more than one way. Since its formation, PapaFish continuously goes full throttle, playing countless events and shows throughout Southern California. Their high energy shows and perseverance earned them placements with notable acts such as Matisyahu, Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution, Iration, The Dirty Heads, Sublime W/ Rome, Tomorrow's Bad Seeds, Unwritten Law, Voodoo Glow Skulls, P-Nut from 311, Seedless, Pacific Dub, Mod Sun, Stephen Perkins from Jane's Addiction and many more. In early 2013, PapaFish was the winner of the Marley's Mellow Mood contest to play the California Roots Festival in Monterey. After the band's tenacious fans requested PapaFish nonstop, the a band was eventually selected as the winner out of 100+ submissions. In March 2013, PapaFish released it's debut 6 song EP titled 'The Lab' which has received rave reviews amongst the reggae/rock community, especially in Southern California. The EP was recorded at 17th Street Recording Studio under the guidance of renowned music producer Lewis Richards (credits: Sting, Mary J. Blige, The Dirty Heads, Sublime w/ Rome, Slightly Stoopid and more) PapaFish was founded in 2010 after guitarist Greg Menjivar and singer Nancy Rae found a group of musicians after hosting weekly jam sessions on the college dorm balcony at Cal State University Northridge. What started as just a bunch of friends coming together to make noise and play cover songs, quickly turned into something much more substantial and PapaFish was born.
