Knights of Monte Carlo: The Knights of Monte Carlo are a distinctly rich, gorgeously handsome, flawlessly refined quartet dedicated to resurrecting the best music ever to have hit the airwaves– 70’s soft rock. Because of their incredible talent and unparalleled style they frequently attract chic and pulchritudinous admirers from all over the United States and abroad, making the Knights of Monte Carlo the most popular and internationally sought after soft rock tribute ensemble of all time. The Knights vituoso line-up includes Doc Spiders and J.C. Borealis on guitars,Bobby Colada on drums, and Brad Bayliner on bass guitar. All members are multi-instrumentalists, and at any time one might pick up a saxophone, trumpet, accordion or autoharp. and because each member has amazingly smooth and precise vocal ability, they harmonize together exquisitely. Let us be clear– the Knights of Monte Carlo are not a cover band, but are the embodiment of an era when pina coladas, sea breezes, key parties, coke spoons, beards, and afternoon delights ruled the day; a time when out of every AM radio came the smooth, sultry, sexy, sounds of soft rock.
Angry Donkey: Established in November 2011, Angry Donkey started out as an acoustic duo called “Ben and Joey, Not the Ice Cream”. At the request of then owner of the Shore, Jason Baran, to have a fuller acoustic sound, Angry Donkey was formed by adding the other two founding members, Rob Lovejoy (Bass) and Arnold Libunao (Electric Drums). Playing for more than a year as an acoustic foursome, and by adding a female vocalist, Ms. Ashley Deniston, Angry Donkey began to evolve into a full-fledged rock and pop cover band. In early 2013, with the evolution of their skills, and the clamoring from an ever growing fan base, Angry Donkey was fully realized into a full-fledged cover rock and pop band with the addition of the final two members; our fabulous lead singer (Kati Caliber), and our super star rapper/keyboard player (A.J. Brandt). Angry Donkey boast an impressive list of venue partners such as: Grauman’s Chinese Theater (Hollywood), Hennessey’s (Manhattan Beach), The Lighthouse, Shore, Studio, Twelve and Highland and Morning View Studios in Malibu. Angry Donkey plays a wide range of cover songs from the 50's until the present pop hits. We have been the “house band” at Shore, formerly Studio, and expect to be the same at the new Standing Room in Hermosa Beach, playing every Saturday night. All but one member of the members of Angry Donkey calls the South Bay their home. We are South bay’s true hometown cover band!
Glam Skanks: In 2013, GLAM SKANKS hit the Los Angeles music scene with a new take on rock ’n’ roll. There’s glitter, there’s hooks and with the sparkle of Bowie and the glimmer of Aerosmith GLAM SKANKS have upthrust the volume and are ready to detonate this town. With an all female line-up GLAM SKANKS have made their mark on the music industry alongside influential female rockers Joan Jett, The Runaways and The Donnas. Vocalist Ali Torres lays down unforgettable melodies beside guitarist Veronica Witkin, known for her flashy style. Bassist Breanna Fields holds down the rhythm with drummer Lindsay Martin behind the kit. Their image is cohesive: a flash back to the ‘70s with a modern twist. The band’s live performances appeal to all of the punk rockers, crash queens, glam fiends and everyone in between; expect a rock and roll party that you won’t forget. This isn’t just a band, it’s an idea that has set the stage for a higher precedent of performance and musicianship that will continue to grow. GLAM SKANKS will release their first official EP in early 2014. They currently have a residency at The Rainbow and continue to book shows around Los Angeles and surrounding areas.
