Wait for Green: Growing up in different cities throughout South Florida and as far away Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the unique cultural backgrounds and variety of musical influences from each of us help shape the core of our music. Thanks to a few connections between mutual friends, the internet, and word of mouth, we came together as a band in college during the Fall of 2006. Wait For Green: Over two hundred shows, one full-length CD, and a brand new EP; all in less than two and a half years as a band. We’ve been working relentlessly day in and day out playing shows, passing out merch, building our roots fanbase, and creating the unique blend of Alternative-Rock fused with Funk, Reggae, Jazz, and Hip-Hop known as WAIT FOR GREEN, all while staying true to the music we are passionate to create. Being able to share the stage with national acts such as Slightly Stoopid, Reel Big Fish, Cold War Kids, Blues Traveler, Authority Zero, Fiction Plane, The Expendables, Rebelution, The Supervillians, Rehab, Passafire, and The Parliament Funkadelic, has given us the chance to increase our exposure exponentially. After winning the National MEISA (Music and Entertainment Industry Student Association) Battle of the Bands, finishing in the top 8 as a finalist to open Langerado through Sonicbids, receiving radio rotation play on Florida’s major rock and college stations (such as Clear Channel’s X101.5, 103.1 The Buzz, and Florida College Radio), multiple headlining shows at some of the Southeast’s premier music venues, playing at SUNFEST 2009 and showcasing at Florida Music Festival, everything continues to be moving uphill.
